Bonding method of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) – sodium naphthalene solution Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) – sodium naphthalene solution treatment bonding method: sodium naphthalene solution treatment of fluorine-containing materials, mainly through the corrosion solution and PTFE plastic chemical reaction, tear off part of the fluorine atoms on the surface of the material, so as to leave a carbonization layer and some polar groups on the surface. The treatment of fluorine-containing materials with sodium naphthalene solution is mainly through the chemical reaction between the corrosive solution and PTFE plastic to tear off some fluorine atoms on the surface of the materials, thus leaving a carbonization layer and some polar groups on the surface. IR spectra show that polar groups such as hydroxyl group, carbonyl group and unsaturated bond are introduced into the surface, which can increase the surface energy, decrease the contact angle and improve the wettability. This is the most effective and commonly used method in the current research. Sodium naphthalene tetrahydrofuran is generally used as corrosion solution. The bonding process is as follows ： ( 1) Preparation of treatment solution: a certain amount of sodium metal is added into the solution of tetrahydrofuran and naphthalene, in which the mass fraction of sodium metal is controlled at 3% ~ 5%, and the solution is stirred at room temperature for about 2 h until the solution is dark brown or black; ( 2) Immerse the PTFE workpiece to be treated in the solution for about 5 ~ 10 minutes, take it out, and then immerse it in acetone solution for 3 ~ 5 minutes min； ( 3) Remove the workpiece from acetone solution, rinse it with clean water, and then place it in the dark to dry naturally; ( 4) Choose epoxy resin, silicone or polyurethane as adhesive, evenly apply it on the surface to be bonded, and immediately bond. After standing at 24 ~ 30 ℃ for 24 hours, it can bond firmly.
